Late last night, Gov. Culver added the counties of Adair, Appanoose, Audobon, Cass, Clinton, Davis, Decature, Des Moines, Greene, Grundy, Guthrie, Henry, Jackson, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Mills, Monroe, Pottawattamie, Poweshiek, Shelby, Washington, Wayne, and Winnebago to the disaster list. This is the current list of counties that have been declared disaster areas. In all, 55 of the 99 Iowa counties are on the list. How Grundy County didn’t make the cut, I don’t know.

Finally, after about a week solid of daily rain/thunderstorms, it looks like we’re going to get a break. Maybe it’s time to get back outside and get some fresh air. I’m sure my bike is building up spiderwebs and the situation on the roller blades isn’t much better.
