I can’t for the life of me understand this one. Obama has told his supporters to help him help Hillary Clinton repay her $22 million in campaign debt. We all know that Clinton stayed in the running much longer than she should have, which incurred extra expenses. Over the course of her campaign, she blasted Obama on everything he said and did that she didn’t agree with. Now Obama wants the Clinton’s help with his campaign and wants to help them repay their debt.
First off, it’s Clinton’s own fault she’s in debt. Nobody forced her to stay in the running other than herself, to fulfill her own agenda (maybe campaigning for 2012?). May I write a letter to Obama and tell him to ask his contributors for money to pay off my student loans, car loan, and home loan? Probably – but there’s no way I’d see any money. Granted, my debt isn’t on the order of millions, but I’m probably more in need of it than Clinton is purely on a debt-to-income scale
I have to believe that the Clinton’s will play a large role in where Obama takes his campaign. The fact that they were bitter rivals no more than a month ago but seem to be friends now irritates me. Nobody but teenage girls have that kind of relationship swing in such a short time. If Obama is that quick to change his style, opinion, and attitude toward someone, what’s he going to change in the time between now and November? I liked his ideas up to this point, I just hope that they don’t get confused with someone else’s agenda. Just like we don’t need George Bush to be McCain’s puppet master, the Clintons doesn’t need to be Obama’s.
